After development for many years, China has become the production base of the blanket industry, and the production of blanket is mainly used for export. According to statistics from China Customs, in 2010, China's exports of blanket reached to $2.375 billion, and increased to $4.086 billion in 2014. The average annual compound growth rate reached to 14.53%, and China's exports of blanket are mainly synthetic fiber blanket, that accounted for 81.22% of exports in 2010, and 86.49% in 2014.
From the point of view of the demand for blanket in global world, the main areas of China's exports in America, Europe and Middle East, according to statistics from China Customs, the amounts of exports of top 20 countries accounted for 70.60% of the total exports in 2010, and here is the data:
1. America 18.97%
2. United Arab Emirates 6.99%
3. Japan 4.32%
4. Saudi Arabia 3.78%
5. India 3.44%
Although China has become the world's blanket production base, some countries which have demand for blankets begin producing it, which will threaten the development of China's exports, so the trade friction and trade protection inevitable, resulting in some uncertainties of trade environment for China's blanket exports.
At present, the proportion of the domestic market is small, but with the increase of per capital income level and booming of the marriage market, our domestic market has great potential and bright prospect.
