How to Wash Home Textile Blankets

Friends with blankets always feel it's very difficult to wash blankets because that's different from clothes which can just rubbing wash it. It's easy to be damaged if you choose the wrong way. Here I am going to make a detailed summary. 
First of all, you need to figure out what kind of blanket did you bought, that's different washing way according to the different quality blankets. We put blankets into two categories based on our currently blankets quality. 

1. One is pure wool blankets. Pure wool blankets can't washed by washing machine, because the high-speed rotation of the washing machine will sprain wool blankets, and will very easy to be deformed after washing. It is generally recommended to take hand washing or dry-cleaning. If hand washing, it is generally recommend to soak in cold water for a while before washing, so that the blanket can completely saturated. It would be appropriate if you can add some liquid detergent or clothing care softener which can keep the softness of the blankets. Then take the blankets out and press off the water gently, wash the key corners with soap. Be careful, do not twist blankets which can deform the blankets. Finally, blankets should be dry in the shade. Do not direct sun exposure, which would make blanket harden. 

2. The other one is a common chemical fiber blankets, mostly are polyester and fibre blankets. This two blankets can both be washed by washing machine, Water temperature not too hot, about 20 degrees is more appropriately. Specific ways is like the first one. If in machine washing, do not use the washing machine drying, pressing the water directly gently is enough. Blankets should mainly dry in the shade which can keep the shape of blankets.
