How to Store Blankets

When weather gets warmer, we need to put our winter heavy blankets away for a while. It may lead to a bad influence like mildew or musty odors if you store the blankets in a wrong way. Here are several methods available to keep blankets and comforters smelling fresh.

1. WASH

No one wants to store the blankets casually and when we need it take it out, I bet you would never want to use it again. Before storing the blankets, please make sure that the blanket is completely dry, otherwise, it is very easy to get mildew.

2.STORAGE

Generally, we believe that storing blankets with plastic bags may keep blanket far away from all kinds of bacteria. Actually, it's not like this. Airtight bags like this would more easier get musty odors. Instead, breathable cotton bags is preferred storage blankets, fresh air can completely take away the bacteria. But even if we store the blankets well, we still need to take blankets out to breath regularly. Especially in the rainy season, the air is more humid. If you use air conditioning, open the closet door while the air conditioner is on to help dehumidify the closet.
